Religion: Islam And Chritianity

Islam vs. Christianity
Christianity: God is personal. Islam: Allah is unknowable.
Christianity: God is One in Three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Like a man can be a husband, father and brother at the same time and still be just one man, God is One God in Three Persons. Islam: Allah and God are one and the same, but God has no son and the holy spirit does not exist.
Christianity: Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who died to save sinners. Every human is a sinner. Only Jesus lived without sin. Islam: Salvation is through obeying Islamic laws and doing more good deeds than bad deeds for Muslims.
Christianity: Jesus is the Son of God―sent to save the world from sin. Those who accept Him as Lord will have eternal life. Jesus will prevail on Judgment Day. Islam:  Jesus was a prophet. He was not Divine. Jesus will bow to Muhammad on Judgment Day.
Christianity: All people who believe Jesus died for their sins, was raised, and now sits at God’s right hand will enter heaven. Islam:  Muslim men who die fighting in the Cause of Allah—or do more good deeds than bad deeds for Muslims will enter Paradise.
Christianity: God commands all people to love Him and love one another, even their enemies. Islam: Allah commands Muslims to fight until all people profess Islam as their faith; are enslaved by Muslims; or are dead.
Christianity: There will be no liars in heaven. Islam: Lying, breaking treaties or pretending not to be a Muslim is acceptable—if done to further Islam’s quest for world domination.
Christianity: Nearly all of the Old Testament Prophets were Jews. Islam:  All Biblical Prophets were Muslims, including Abraham, Noah, Moses and Jesus. Adam was a Muslim.
Christianity: Earthly bodies cannot last forever. Heavenly bodies are eternal and unique. Islam: Fleshly rewards await those who enter paradise; fruit, wine, and—virgins created for the eternal pleasure of Muslim men.
Christianity: Muhammad is not mentioned in the Bible. His coming is not foretold. Islam: The Bible foretells the coming of Muhammad, who was the last and greatest of all Biblical prophets, including Jesus Christ.
Christianity:  The Bible is the Word of God. It was inspired by God. It is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. Islam: Jews and Christians corrupted the Bible by removing verses that pertain to Muhammad and changing passages concerning Jesus.
Christianity: The Jews are God’s chosen People. God will never allow them to be completely destroyed. Islam:  Jews are descendants of apes and pigs. It is a sacred duty of Muslims to convert, enslave or murder every one of them.
Christianity: Jesus said, “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” Islam: Allah said, “Fight until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there is faith in Allah altogether and everywhere.”
Islam: Christians are evil, and bound for hell. They will always try to lead Muslims into their world of sin. Christianity: The only way to be saved from sin and have eternal life is to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. Jesus commands Christians to teach all people that He loves them and died for their sins.

The Prophet Who Fortold The Second Coming Of Buhari

Primate Ayodele Elijah, the founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, is one of the men of God who foretold the second coming of General Muhammadu Buhari.
He said categorically that Buhari has the chances of winning if he does not rely too much on the glory of the past. However, he also said that the incumbent “President Goodluck Jonathan may win by a very slim margin but he must obey God’s warnings by being careful of those that work with him”.
Looking through some old interviews with Primate Ayodele, divine messages concerning various happenings in Nigeria, regarding the last general elections can be revealed.
In The Guardian on July 13, 2013 page 13, Primate Elijah Ayodele foretold that “Jonathan will not win in 2015”.
In an interview with the Daily Independent on January 3, 2015, the servant of God said: “PDP will find it hard to retain Kaduna, Kano state would be difficult for PDP to win likewise Katsina state. APC will win Sokoto state.”
In the Top Celebrities magazine on January 21, 2014, Primate Ayodele said:“INEC will use electronic voting system but it will not work”. Ahead of this particular prediction, the Primate had warned Nigerians to watch out as “the rigging in the 2015 general elections will be advanced and scientific. Nigeria will seek help to fight Boko Haram.”
In an interview with the Sun on December 28, 2014, Primate Ayodele said that “APC will fail in Delta, Rivers and Cross River States”. “If APC embark on aggressive grassroots campaign, the party will win presidential election in 2015 but if they rely on the past glory of Buhari, PDP will win,” he said.
He also said that “Jonathan will be the last president PDP will produce in Nigeria”.
Primate Ayodele also said in an interview granted the Weekend Champion on June 16, 2012, that “the governors will gang up against Jonathan and PDP may lose the central government in 2015″.
In an interview he granted the Global Excellence magazine in December, 2014, Primate Ayodele said that “the international community doesn’t want Jonathan to return in 2015 and they will collaborate to work against his interest”. “Chief Obasanjo will not forgive Jonathan and will continue to work against him. President Jonathan will have problems winning the core Northan states despite his foot soldiers effort, there will be problems in the Northan states for President Jonathan that does not say he won’t win some Northan states,” he said.
The cleric said if President Jonathan wants to win he must address the issue of the Chibok girls properly, these are the things that can give President Jonathan a landslide victory.
“President Jonathan must work on first lady’s office because this is one of the factors that may work against his second term victory,” he added.
According to the respected man of God, this tells us that fulfilled prophecy is proof of God. It also proves that God spoke through His prophets as recorded in the Bible for our benefit today. Fulfilled prophecy should motivate us to look at the prophecies of the future and realize that they will come to pass as well.
Earlier, Primate Elijah Ayodele Babatunde has accused several prominent Nigerian pastors of corruption. He claimed that Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor E.A Adeboye and some other pastors have been corrupted by politicians and are not saying the truth.

Some Churches Is Leading You To Hell - Etcetera

Singer turned writer, Etcetera, is known  for airing controversial opinion articles on various trending topics in the country.
He is however back with a new one, but this time, its about Christians, Christianity and how the present day church is taking millions of Christians to hell fire. Read the intriguing piece below:
The Church Is Leading You To Hell - Etcetera

Etcetera
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent. – Revelation 3:19.
Much of the church today is living a lie. Many of you have been told continuously that you are saved and headed for heaven. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Many of you are heading directly to hell. The systemised lying that is going on in the church has deceived the pastors and the people alike. It is a case of the blind leading the blind. You all need to pray – fervently because many of you are “lost”. No matter what you call me, no matter how you view this issue, no matter what position you have, no matter what church you attend, you have to admit that something is wrong with the church.
Below are eight facts why the church is leading you straight to hell:
  1. There is almost no evidence whatsoever that the early church had their “services” on a Sunday. They gathered together ‘from house to house’ virtually every day! People did not dress up and “go to church.” There were no denominations or separate groups with different ‘labels.’ They lived their lives together – And the apostles in Jerusalem preached everyday at a huge open-air gathering, not “hidden away” inside four walls. Church buildings do not exist in the Bible. They were invented around 200-300 AD, when the church was in serious decline. Church buildings are anti-New Testament, and they bring with them a host of problems and traditions. It was when the church fell into the hands of Rome that this concept of the “cathedral” took over. And today, we are still spending millions building these beautiful monuments while the worshippers are starving.
  2. The words “prosper” or ‘prosperity’ were NEVER used by Jesus at all – and only mentioned a few times in the entire New Testament. Yet our greedy pastors have built kingdoms upon them. The words – “sell what you have and give to the poor” and “deceitfulness of riches” and “you cannot serve God and mammon” and “woe to you that are rich” were DEFINITELY used by Jesus and the apostles, but you don’t hear them preached by your pastors, do you?
  3. Tithing is not a New Testament practice at all. And it is being shamefully abused by today’s preachers. In the Old Testament, tithing was only applicable to Jews and to the land of Israel and that was at a time when a great number of them lived in Babylon, Ammon, Moab, Egypt and Syria. As a result of that, the land they occupied became tithe-able lands. Tithes were not acceptable from Gentiles’ lands. So my brothers and sisters, you need to ask your pastor why he is collecting tithes here in Nigeria. Also, the only people authorised to receive tithes were the Levites – (Hebrews 7:5). If your pastor is collecting tithe from you, ask him if he’s from the tribe of Levi. Even Jesus who was a Jew couldn’t collect tithes because he wasn’t from the tribe of Levi but from that of Judah. And if your pastor insists that being a worker in the lord’s vineyard qualifies him as a Levite, please remind him that Levites had no land and did not own properties.
  4. The Jesus of today’s church is a “Father Christmas,” a Jesus who exists mainly for our own “happiness;” a Father Christmas who wants to rain down continual blessings upon us; a Jesus of grace and mercy without judgement, righteousness or truth. Our gross misrepresentation of who Jesus really is, is one of the most serious offences of today’s church. We worship a “plastic” Jesus – one that we have painted in our own image. What an offence to God.
  5. What we have today are churches that are so loose that they excuse any sin or misconduct, including homosexuality and adultery. Aren’t we supposed to accept only the truth of God’s word? But instead, we have opted for a modern church that is socially based, smooth and sophisticated, and presented like a Nollywood movie with men and women of ogboni fraternity dressed in their occultic regalia occupying special seats during services. Something is wrong!
  6. What happened to the strong calls for repentance that brought thousands down to the altar to repent and ask Jesus Christ to save their souls? This is the litmus test for Christianity; it is the essence of the Cross; it is the great commission that Jesus commanded us with. If your church is not winning souls, then it is like a barren woman, and it is a shame. Something is wrong!
  7. What happened to the outpouring of the Holy Ghost? Do we even know what it means anymore to feel the presence of the Spirit of God descend on a service and fill up the room with holiness? Or we just love that party atmosphere and excitement when the choir plays a boogie-down song? Or we love to scream “ride on pastor” in the excitement we get when some charismatic preacher works the crowd? It’s been so long we’ve felt the presence of the Holy Spirit that we don’t know what it is anymore. Something is definitely wrong!
  8. Lots of pastors are aware that there is something very wrong with the church today. They know there is little ‘fear of the Lord.’ They know there is no deep repentance or deep moving of the Holy Spirit.
They know that it is just the same old “game” being played every week. A lot of them are very aware of this, but they will not do anything about it. They will not rock the boat. And they will destroy anyone who comes along trying to do something.
They do not want any reforms. There is too much to lose. They have their careers and their “kingdoms” at stake. This is the truth of the matter. Most of you are worshippers of your pastors and not God. Many of you are hell bound. So pray my brothers and sisters. Pray for your souls. Let me stop here and leave room for you to call me names. But do remember that the church is leading you to hell – not me!

More Martyrs: ISIS Executes Dozens Of Ethiopian Christians In Libya

Once again, ISIS has orchestrated and filmed the dramatic mass killing of African Christians who refuse to deny their faith.
This time, the approximately 28 men targeted by the Libya affiliate of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (also known as Daesh) were Ethiopian Christians. In February, the killing of 21 mostly Egyptian Christians drew widespread horror and fears of future massacres, but also led to Egypt's largest Bible outreach.
Describing the 30-minute propaganda video released Sunday, Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) explained:
The exact numbers of victims in the latest incident cannot be confirmed. The video of the executions, entitled “Until there came to them clear evidence”, switches between a scene on a beach in eastern Libya, where an estimated 15 men in orange boiler suits are beheaded by masked militants in camouflage, and a scene in a desert area in southern Libya where similarly dressed Daesh members execute a similar number of men in black boiler suits by shooting them in the head. A subtitle refers to both groups of victims as "worshippers of the cross belonging to the hostile Ethiopian church."
The video also includes scenes depicting the destruction of churches in Syria and Iraq and condemns the doctrine of the Trinity as a form of apostasy. Prior to the executions, an English-speaking masked narrator dressed in black warns that "the nation of the cross" must either embrace Islam, pay the jizya tax or face death.
The New York Times reports more details on the video, as does CNN. Regarding how Mosul Christians were told to convert to Islam or pay a protection tax, the speaker in the video says, "The Christians never cooperated."

The video was released the same day the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, arrived in Cairo to offer condolences for the previous martyrs in Libya: 20 Coptic Orthodox Christians and a sub-Saharan African. (CT reported how their deaths were unifying Egypt andinspiring Muslimsthroughout the Arab world, as well as honored in the Coptic calendar.)
“Why has Libya spoken so powerfully to the world?” asked Welby during a public sermon. “The way these brothers lived and died testified that their faith was trustworthy.”
Ethiopia is Africa's second most-populated country, and approximately two-thirds of its 90 million people are Christians, notes AsiaNews. "Many have moved to Libya, where they found work, or are waiting to board a migrant ship to reach Europe."
Abba Kaletsidk Mulugeta, an Orthodox Church official, believes the victims were likely migrants, seeking work or a passage to Europe, according to the Daily Mail.
And while it is too early to determine the denominational affiliation of the Ethiopians, 44 percent of their nation's population belongs to the Orthodox Tawahedo Church, according to the CIA World Factbook. Protestants represent 19 percent.
The Ethiopian government has not yet been able to confirm the video, or certify the victims are its citizens.
But Grant LeMarquand, the Anglican bishop of the Horn of Africa, says they certainly appear to be.
“If they were given the chance to convert and did not,” he told CT, “they should be considered what ISIS calls them: ‘People of the Cross’, and therefore true followers of the crucified one.”
Bishop Angaelos, the general bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United Kingdom, underscored the Ethiopians’ testimony.
“Once again we see innocent Christians murdered purely for refusing to renounce their faith,” he said in a statement.
"As Christians, we remain committed to our initial instinct following the murder of our 21 Coptic brothers in Libya, that it is not only for our own good, but indeed our duty to ourselves, the world, and even those who see themselves as our enemies, to forgive and pray for the perpetrators of this and similar crimes," he said. "We pray for these men and women, self-confessed religious people, that they may be reminded of the sacred and precious nature of every life created by God.”
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tawahedo Church is the largest Oriental Orthodox denomination in the world. It claims descent from the Ethiopian eunuch converted by Philip in Acts 8, and dates formally to the preaching of Frumentius in the early fourth century and the acceptance of Christianity in 330 A.D.
The word tawahedo is a Ge’ez term meaning "unified," referring to Christ’s one nature, both human and divine. In 451 A.D., the Oriental Orthodox churches rejected the Council of Chalcedon’s pronouncement of his two natures.
The Ethiopian Orthodox Church remained administratively part of the Coptic Orthodox Church until 1959, when Egypt granted the church the right to appoint its own patriarch.
LeMarquand remarked that Muslims and Christians in Ethiopia have for the most part lived together in peace. The radicalization of neighboring Somalia, however, has strained local coexistence. He requested prayer for upcoming elections on May 24.
Mobs of Muslims burned more than 60 churches in March 2011. Ethiopia ranks No. 22on Open Doors’ 2015 World Watch List.
Over the last several years, the Ethiopian government has been active in military response to the atrocities of the Somali Islamist terrorist group al-Shabab. The ISIS video may have indirectly referenced this as motivation for the group's killing of the Ethiopian Christians.
“'Muslim blood shed under the hands of your religions is not cheap,” it said. “To the nation of the cross we are now back again.”
To this threat, Welby urged solidarity. “We must grieve for them, support their families, and seek to change the circumstances that lead to their death,” he said during his Cairo sermon. “All Christians are witnesses. The God who raised Jesus from the dead will raise them also, whose testimony brought many to the truth of Christ.”
More than 40 percent of immigrants to the European Union are Christians—the largest population of any religious group, according to the Pew Research Center. CT previously noted that many of the 250 migrants who drowned crossing the Mediterranean in 2013 were African Christians fleeing persecution.
Thousands of Ethiopians have immigrated to Middle East, North Africa, and Europe in search of work, though many have faced later deportations or abuse. Last December, 70 Ethiopians drowned after their boat capsized off the coast of Yemen. (None of the Christians thrown overboard last week by fellow Muslims migrants were Ethiopian.)
Many emigrating Ethiopians are Oromo, a people group of 24 million who have been “ruthlessly targeted” and tortured by the government, as they have fought for increased self-determination. Nearly one third are Orthodox Christian, one in five Protestant, and half Muslim.
CT reported how Egypt's Bible society turned the previous 21 martyrs in Libya into a Bible tract that is rivaling the Bible for circulation, as well as how Christian forgiveness has gone viral in the Arab world. CT has also noted how US Christian leaders are increasingly advocating for persecuted Christians in the Middle East and North Africa, and Frank Wolf's plan for their safety.
