For Ladies only: 9 reasons why some men simply refuse to get married

You meet an eligible bachelor, then after a few drinks and little talk all he wants is just sex, no commitment and the word 'marriage' is far from his vocabulary.
Wondering what's keeping those guys from getting hitched? Joan Jerkovich of YourTango gives 9 reasons why these men refuse to get married:
  1. They Don't Need To Have Sex To Get Married: Men today don’t need to marry you to get sex! You know this is true. I’m all for gender equality, but the changing societal standards for premarital sex has backfired for women who want to move their relationships toward marriage.
  2. They Would Rather Live Together Than Get Married: Another change in relationships over the years is the number of couples who opt to cohabitate versus get married. Unlike in the past, most people don't frown upon couples who live together. So ladies, if you want to improve your chances of marriage, don’t move in with the guy.
  3. Serial Monogamy > Divorce: It’s easier for men today to have a girlfriend for a while, enjoy all the privileges of marriage without the civil contract, breakup, then move on to another new girlfriend. To men, serial monogamy is easier than going through a divorce.
  4. In Fact, They're Terrified Of Divorce: Multiple sources cite that the number one reason men don’t want to get married is that either they themselves have been through a bad divorce or they have witnessed the grief, bad outcomes and money problems that divorces have cost their buddies.
  5. They Don't Want To Leave Their Bromances ...: Guys love to hang with the guys, and they feel like a wife will keep them from this vital part of their social life.
  6. ... Or Ditch Their Man-Cave: When men live alone, their space is their own. They can hang their moose heads in the living room if they want. All too often when they get married they end up relegated to the unfinished room in the basement, where they have to set up their man-cave to preserve their manhood.
  7. They Think They Can Have It Better: These are the perpetual playboys who are always looking for something better. If they’re dating a “9”, they’re on the prowl for that elusive “10.” Expect age to slow these guys down, because as they get older, dating really young women just categorizes them as “creepy old men.”
  8. They're Mamma's Boys: Forget these guys. If they’re still living in mommy’s basement, you wouldn’t want to marry them anyway. They’re already married to momma and there’s no room at the Inn for you!
  9. They're Die-Hard Bachelors: These are the guys who have hit 50 and have never been married. Don’t get into a relationship with them expecting marriage because according to the research I did, it’s probably never going to happen.

7 Ways To Make Sure Your Partner Never Loses Interest In You

Often times you hear of married couple slowly drifting apart , then the senseless arguments arise  and they stop sleeping sleeping together, next on the list will be divorce.
You wonder what happened to these couples who were once so happy together, the good news is that it never has to be this way in your own case.
Holly Riordan of All Women Stalk lists these 7 ways to make sure couples never lose interest in each other:
  1. Be Spontaneous: After you've been together for a while, you'll fall into a certain routine. You'll see each other on certain days, go to certain restaurants, and hang out with certain #people. While there's nothing wrong with developing a routine, you have to break it every once in a while. Surprise him with reservations for a restaurant in a different town or buy him tickets for a show in the city. Do whatever you can to keep him on his toes.
  2. Keep up appearances: You don't have to wear #makeup every morning and toss out every pair of sweat-pants you own. However, you should occasionally dress nicely just for him. Buy some lingerie or a new dress that he won't be able to take his #eyes off of. If you're with the right #man, he'll return the favor by buying something for himself to wear that you'll adore.
  3. Never stop learning: This one is essential, not only for your #relationship, but for yourself. If you've been with your #man for years, then he'll eventually have nothing left to learn about you--unless you keep trying new things. Join a class or take a trip. That way, you'll be living a life you enjoy and will constantly have new #things for him to learn about you.
  4. Have your own friends: Don't let your man become your entire life. If he sees that you have plenty of friends that love spending #time with you, he'll realize how lucky he is to have you and won't lose interest. That's why it's important to organize your time--because you want to have a social life that doesn't involve your #man.
  5. Continue dating: If you act like a boring old married couple, then you'll start to feel that way. That's why you need to continue to go out on dates. It'll give you a #chance to dress up, show each other off in public, and have flirty conversations. If you want your #relationship to stay interesting, you have to act like you're still in the honeymoon phase, even when you've been together for decades.
  6. Give him what he wants: You aren't his slave, so you don't have to wait on him hand and foot. However, he won't lose interest in you if you always surprise him by doing something special. If you know he loves cheesecake, pick him up a slice on the way home from work. If you know he hates taking out the garbage, do it for him after he had a rough day.
  7. Never lose interest in him: If you don't want him to lose interest in you, then you can't lose interest in him. If you're both happy to be involved in each other's lives, then you won't have a problem. You'll always be excited to spend #time together.

10 Types Of Women You Should Never Marry

While we can all agree that nobody is perfect, there are actually a few things that would adversely affect a relationship if a man chooses to partner with a woman with some not-so-great attributes.

Naij.com presents you with the 10 kinds of woman a man should think twice about making a wife.

1. The Bitter Woman: You know that woman that always seems to be angry at the menfolk all the time? Perhaps she has had her heart broken one too many times, but this woman is always bashing on men and talking about how they are no-good or useless. A man might not want to settle down with someone so bitter as it is guaranteed that when the opportunity arises, she would hurl hurtful insults and intense, hateful words his way due to all her unresolved anger.
2. The Selfish Woman: If you want a happy home and a partner that wants your happiness as well as hers, then you should steer clear of the selfish woman. A woman who is determined to make sure she always comes first would not be able to build a cheerful and loving home with you.
3. The Materialistic Woman: A woman obsessed with material things would certainly not make the best wife. If all she cares about are material possession over family, faith and spiritual fulfillment, then she will not make the best partner.
4. The Flirty Woman: Are you attracted to that woman that always seems to flirt with one person or another? She flirts like a butterfly from one man to another and makes all men feel like she is interested in them. Well, beware, because a habit like that might be hard to break after marriage and you would not want to start hearing that your wife has had flirty conversations with all the men in the neighbourhood.
5. The Party Freak: She is invited to every party and attends them all. She is always dressed in the most flashy clothes and is the ultimate party girl. She lives for the next big gathering and cannot say no to an invitation. Such woman might not be the type to settle down in a marriage.
6. The Spoilt-Brat: A woman who grew up having everything handed to her and has never had the experience of actually working for something is unlikely to make the best wife. No matter how much you might be willing to provide her with the kind of lifestyle she grew up with, remember, marriage comes with kids and kids require sacrifice. If she has never had to work or make sacrifices for anything in her life, it is unlikely that she would start now.
7. The Attention Seeker: While some women naturally like attention, when it becomes an obsession, then it is not a good idea. A good husband makes sure he has time for his wife, but this cannot happen 100percent of the time so a good wife should understand that.
8. The Gossip: Does she always seem to never mind her own business? Is she always focused on what someone else is doing or how someone else is living their life? Then you do not need this kind of woman as a wife. A man needs someone that would build a home with him and this requires some focus on her own plans and her own life. If she is too busy minding someone else’s business, then you are fighting a losing battle.
9. The Commitment-Phobe: A woman who finds it difficult to commit to anything (school, jobs, family, friendship, etc) would also not be able to commit to a marriage. If she seems to lose interest in everything quickly and is always looking for the next thing to jump into, then you would have a hard time keeping her focused in her marriage.
10. The Disrespectful Woman: If she seems to always be disrespectful and rude (even if it is to people she considers beneath her standards) then you need to think twice about marrying her. Respect for a fellow human being is a very important attribute in who we choose to spend the rest of our lives with so it is definitely not something that should be taken lightly.

How To Reconcile With Your Friend After A Fight

Having true friends is one of life's greatest gifts but it doesn't mean there won't be fights between you all. Instead of letting an argument cause you to drift apart from your best friend, there are certain ways to reconcile and make sure you stay as close as ever.
Jah'Kayla Sharpe of All Women Stalk lists 8 things you can do to make up with your bestfriend after an argument.
Bestfriends
  1. Look at the situation from your friend's perspective: After a few days, contact your friend and ask to discuss things. There is a chance that your friend may not be ready to talk, and if that is the case, here are a few things you can say:"I want to make sure I understand where you are coming from.""Your friendship is important to me.""I want to hear you out."
  2. Explain your feelings in "I" and "We" terms: The best way to confront a friend about what they’ve done is to tell them how it affected you. Practice explaining the entire situation using only the words like “I” and “we,” never “you.” never tell your friend what they did to you. This will put them on the defensive and make them much less likely to listen to whatever it is you have to say (especially if you’ve misunderstood the situation). • Incorrect: “You really hurt my feelings. You attacked me, didn’t let me defend myself, and didn’t listen when I tried to bring it up again later. I don’t even think you take this friendship seriously anymore.”• Correct: “My feelings were really hurt by our fight. I felt like I was being attacked and didn’t have a chance to defend myself, even when I tried to explain things later. Our friendship means a lot to me and I really want us to work this out
  3. Give your friend some space: If you’ve done everything you can and your friend is still mad, they might just need time to cool down, think things over, and recover. Constantly calling, texting, emailing, and pestering them is not going to put them in a forgiving mood. And besides, it’s hard to miss somebody who’s always around.
  4. Apologise: If you have done something wrong, for example, said something mean to them, give a heartfelt apology. Don't just say "I'm sorry". Say, "I'm really sorry for calling you names. I didn't mean anything I said. I just wanted to be funny, but in reality, I was being an idiot. I promise I won't do it to you again".
  5. Talk it out/Do talk to them: Take about what you guys been fighting about. For example say what you have to say like "I didn't mean to harm you or hurt you I was just mad that day and I let it out all on you" like that so they would understand
  6. Don't push it: Don't try and push it, just talk it out with them. tell them that they are important to you and you guys been through a lot with each other. Just don't push it that hard, it would probably push them away from you or they will think you're just there to be her friend and do the same again
  7. Ask him/her to hang out over the weekend: Try hanging over with him/her over the weekend. Like go to the mall or the movies with each other. If him/her are busy try next weekend and talk about what happened
  8. Aftermath: After you  guys made you, yes I will be kind of weird but it was worth It. You got your best friend!! Hope y'all be there till the end.

5 Ways To Make Her Fall In Love With You

There are usually some guys who seem to be blessed with the gift of attracting women and it can be quite unnerving when some men who are unlucky in that department, cannot seem to figure it out.

While we can all agree that not all women are the same, there is no doubt that there have been a few tried and true things a man can do to make women swoon. Let’s take a look at a few of them below.
1. Confidence: Everybody loves a confident person and this is usually a very important means of attracting the ladies. A woman feels secured around a man who is confident in himself. She wants to get closer to this man and be in his company. A confident man is happy with himself and believes in his worth. He is not insecure or indecisive, He does not need to be cocky to prove himself  He is secured in his manhood and does not need anyone’s approval to be who he is. Now, what woman would not choose to be with such a man?
2. Dress to Impress: This is usually the first thing a woman notices about a man. You don’t have to be dressed in expensive outfit or covered in a bunch of jewelry to be considered impressively dressed. A man who knows how to put himself together would certainly attract a lot of women. A man who takes care of himself automatically proves that he can take care of his woman.
3. Sense of Humour: Have you noticed that girls always seem to flock around the funny guy or the class clown? The reason is not far-fetched. Women love to be with men who make them laugh, Offering her fun and laughter is one of the most effective ways to land the woman you want.
4. Pay Attention: A woman loves to be the centre of attention and this is a very important requirement in whom she chooses for a partner. When you are with a woman you like, make sure you create an opportunity to get to know her. Listen intently to her when she talks about herself and her passion. Ask her questions to prove you are concentrating and before you know it, you would be the one guy she always wants to be with.
5. Compliments: In the case of attracting your preferred woman, flattery will get you everywhere. We all, as humans, love to be complimented and it is no surprise that women often crave this. Remember to give honest compliments and not cliched ones that sounds like they have been memorized. Compliment her on her appearance, but to capture her heart, you need to compliment her on other things she has worked hard on that others might not have noticed, such as her passion or her academic achievement. We all want to be around people who make us feel good about ourselves, so paying honest compliments would certainly go a long way to make sure she is always drawn to you.

6 Reasons Why Marrying The Wrong Guy Could Be The Best Decision Of Your Life

Bride to beRelationship author  Lynne Meredith Golodner, explains how her ex-husband made her the best person she could ever be and says she would be eternally grateful to him.
Golodner says 8 years of being with Mr. Wrong was the best decision she ever made and thought her six great life lessons.
Here are the lessons she said her ex-husband taught her:
  1. He's the reason I have the best three children in the world: I know every mother says that, but truly I feel lucky to be their mother. It is said that the child chooses the parents and if that’s true, I am really glad my three chose me. They are smart, sweet, outspoken, unique and full of love. I don’t know what my life would be like without them. Being their mother makes me more patient, more kind, more caring, and it gives my life focus and meaning beyond work. I often ask myself what the purpose of our lives is, and when I look at my three children, I begin to understand. We are here on this planet to leave a legacy, to make the world a better place, to contribute to community. We are not here for ourselves. And being a mother has broadened my sense of purpose and motivation as well as expanded my ability to love.
  2. He helped me stand on my two feet: Before I married my ex, I was needy and insecure, seeking love and acceptance anywhere I could find it. This led me to date a lot of guys in high school and college, miss opportunities to broaden my own horizons, travel and try new things while I focused agonizingly on relationships and clung to people I thought might complete me. It wasn’t a pretty picture. He made me realize that being with another person can’t erase the loneliness inside. Only I could do that. I had to bravely look at myself in the mirror and face the fact that even legally bound to another person, I was inherently alone — and then slowly eliminate my fear of that. I like myself now, and I like my time alone. I am not afraid of it. Secondly, being married to my ex and having three kids in four years forced me to stand up and take charge. He wasn’t around a lot, so I had to run the show. I couldn’t cling; he wasn’t there to let me. I had to shake off the malaise of the person I used to be and evolve into the person I always wanted to be.
  3. He allowed me to confront what I truly wanted out of life: When I decided to divorce, the economy was tanking and my kids were not quite 2, 4 and 6. Since my ex is a musician, I needed a secure income stream to support my kiddos. So I created a business, which has grown and thrived more than I ever could have hoped. If I hadn’t spread my wings and asked myself what I truly wanted out of life, I wouldn’t own a successful public relations company, be the author of eight books and speak nationally about the power of story and relationships. You change one thing in your life (like leaving a marriage) and you realize anything is possible if you just take the first step. So you change a lot more and blossom.
  4. He taught me that some relationships are just not meant to be. Period: Marrying the wrong guy taught me that no matter how hard you try (and we did, trust me), some relationships are just not meant to be. I gained clarity and wisdom through that marriage, so that when I met my current husband, I had open eyes. I looked for his flaws and oddities, and asked myself if I could live with them. I knew before I married him that I didn’t like the way he fought and so we knew we had to work together to communicate. I know that I don’t like that about him, but I like enough — and I knew all this before I walked into a commitment so there are no surprises. That makes this relationship easier. And on that note ...
  5. He taught me that what looks like failure can actually be success: There is a belief that relationships exist for “a reason, a season or a lifetime” — as long as they are needed. My ex and I, we had a season. And that’s OK.
  6. He forced me to face myself: No marriage ends because of one person — and in our situation it definitely took two to tango. My ex and I were equally responsible for the good moments in our marriage — and the bad. Even today, when we get into each other’s faces over something to do with co-parenting, it’s not just him. I know that. By marrying the wrong guy, I had to face up to my own flaws and unattractive tendencies. They exist, and when my ex pointed them out, as much as I didn’t want to hear it, I knew he was right. When a relationship goes wrong, you have to ask yourself what the common denominator is in every relationship you’ve had that hasn’t worked out. By the way: it’s you.

I Hope My Wife Will Not Divorce Me After May 29 - Jonathan

The outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan said that he hopes his wife, Patience Jonathan will not divorce him after handing over on may 29, 2015, because his defeat in the Presidential Election  has won him more enemies than friends.
President Goodluck Jonathan and wife Dame Patience
Speaking at a thanksgiving and farewell service held in his honour in Abuja today, May 10, Jonathan said some of his allies have deserted him after his loss at the polls, and that he knows many more will still do, noting that it is a price he has to pay for the greater good of Nigeria.
“Some hard decisions have their own cost, no doubt about that. That I have ran the government this way that stabilized certain things, the electoral process and other things that brought stability into this country. They were very costly decisions which I myself must be ready to pay for,” the President said.
Jonathan likened his current situation to that of South Africa’s apartheid ruler F.W. De Clerk, whose wife left him after he decided to abolish minority rule in the country.
He said, “When F.W. De clerk took the decision to abolish minority rule in South Africa, even his wife divorced him. I hope my wife will not divorce me. But that is the only decision that has made South Africa to still remain a global player by this time. If we still had that minority rule there, by this time, nobody will be talking about South Africa.”
The President then said he hope his wife will not desert him for accepting defeat in the March 28 election, to which Dame “Mama Peace” Patience responded “Nooooo.” The worshippers at the church then applauded the First Lady.
The thanksgiving service was Patience Jonathan's first appearance since her husband lost his re-election.
In his farewell message, Jonathan said he may have lost the election and friends, but he is leaving office a filled man, adding that the Ministers who served under him should be ready to be prosecuted by the Buhari government.
He added, “when I look at the whole picture of my life up to when I became the President of this country. And I say that if soldiers and police officers that have not received 0. 5 per cent of the benefits that I have received from the state can lay their lives for this country, I should do anything in the interest of Nigeria including paying the supreme price.
“As long as live, I will continue to do my best for the state because the state has helped me as a person.
“I have to thank Nigerians especially my state for giving me the opportunity to serve as deputy governor and the whole country gave me the opportunity to serve as Vice President and then President, first was to complete the tenure of the late President and later serve as President from which I am exiting now as a very happy and fulfilled man.”

3 Reasons You Should Not Lie In Your Relationship

Codependent relativeNo healthy relationship was created on the foundation of mistrust and dishonesty. Once you start lying to your partner, family and friends, you slowly begin to chip off that trust bestowed on you little by little and eventually crash every thing you've built over the years.
Honesty is a very important factor in any thriving relationship, couples who have stronger relationships are usually more open to each other and communicate more effectively.
Shakti Sutriasa of Huffington post gives three reasons, lying destroys your relationship
  1. Trust: How do you have a relationship without trust? I need to trust that my lawyer or accountant is ethical, does things legally and has my best interests in mind. Likewise, I need to trust that my employees are truthful with me, don't steal or reveal trade secrets. As we need trust in our business relationships, we need it even more in our intimate ones. I want to know that what you promise to do, what you say, you genuinely mean. Then I can count on you, physically and emotionally. I used to have a relationship in which I could not rely on my partner. He was never there for me. He would always say yes or be indecisive but then when the day rolled around, would be unavailable. Guess what happened?
  2. When You're Trustworthy, I Open Up More: We all crave intimacy. We all want to be known and understood. This only happens when we feel emotionally safe with another person. I allow myself to be vulnerable because I know my husband will support me. If I share a deep fear or angst with him, he doesn't belittle me or make me wrong. Instead he listens deeply, and encourages me. This kind of sharing can only happen when we're truthful. If instead of listening to me, my husband cracked a joke or placated me with a lie, I would cease opening up to him. And eventually we would grow farther and farther apart.
  3. A Genuine Sounding Board Not A Yes Man: Think about it. Do you have respect for people who always tell you what you want to hear? It may feel nice at first but isn't it so much more refreshing when someone is honest? When they question your judgment or actions? We all need people in our lives who can be the voice of encouragement or concern -- who take on either role. It gives us clarity and truthful feedback. This only comes with honesty, trust and rapport.

Dealing With Dominance In Marriage [VIDEO]

DominanceGod made marriage for us to be equal. The woman is supposed to be a partner in the marriage.
Jiimy Evans says: "Marriage doesn't have to be one person controlling money, children, possessions or sex. Everything we do affects our spouse. Therefore, you have a right to share decisions with each other."

10 Reasons to Love Paul Wesley

Do you know that the enigmatic-looking, bushy-browed Paul Wesley grew up in a household as an only son among three all-female siblings? Learn ten other endearing facts about Paul Wesley, who is widely known for playing Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries and Aaron Corbett in Fallen, that would make you adore him more.
Paul Wesley

1. He’s a one-woman man

Although it was reported in December 2013 that Paul had been officially divorced from his actress-wife Torrey DeVitto, it’s pretty obvious that he tends to stick around for a long-term relationship and is monogamous. In 2007, he started dating Torrey. Then in April 2011, they tied the knot in a private ceremony. All in all they were together for almost 6 years.
In an interview with Audrey Fine for Seventeen Magazine, Paul said that throughout his high school years, he only had one girlfriend that he admitted to have “consistently dated.” He also said that he “haven’t gone on many dates.” Isn’t it a trait all women are looking for in every man?

2. He claims he’s got strong family values

In the same Seventeen Magazine interview, Paul proudly stated that he possessed “strong family values” and that he was very close with his parents. Now, that’s something. It’s also interesting to note how Paul’s good family ties could have gone into his portrayal of Fallen character, Aaron, who never met his parents and was in and out of orphanages.
Paul grown up in a big family: he has 3 sisters, Monika, Julia and Leah. Moreover, Paul used to spend each summer in Poland. His parents were born there and Paul left there his grandparents and all the kinsfolk. Paul owes that his mom reacted very reasonably to his teenage behavior, and only now he realizes the wisdom of such a behavior. Paul is thankful to his parents’ support for everything he has in life.

3. His first kiss happened when he was nine

When Paul was nine, a girl made a dare about having him kiss her. And that’s how his cute first kiss happened. The setting for his first kiss? In a swimming pool! Surely, it wasn’t a French kiss, but rather childish. Moreover, it happened underwater, have you ever had an underwater kiss? Later Paul confessed that is was his first and last underwater kiss ever. Paul admits that he didn’t know that girl and, of course, he had no feelings to her. However, he never was a womanizer. As I’ve already mentioned, Paul tends to stick to long-term relations.

4. He’s into winter sports

Paul is one super-cool jock, because he is crazy about winter sports. His favorite pastimes include ice hockey and snowboarding. These activities help him stay fit and handsome. A lot of women find ice hockey the most masculine sport. Without doubt, Paul is courageous and manly.
The Vampire Diaries’ star really loves mountain. He used to spend time in mountains since his childhood, as Paul was born and grown up in New Jersey and was surrounded by mountains. Paul is a daredevil. Once he was given a speeding ticket by ski police. Yes, it exists. If you want to try snowboarding, here are some pieces of advice from Paul: don’t be disappointed at the first try and go to the gym all year long to keep fit.

5. He’s a romantic chap

Paul had been photographed numerous times publicly displaying his affection to his then-wife Torrey DeVitto. In Paris, the pair were even snapped spending a day or two shopping, having fun, and hugging each other.
When Paul was 14, he had a big crush on this girl. He attempted to impress her by having a huge Teddy bear delivered to her home for her birthday. But Paul used his dad’s credit card to pay for the Teddy bear, so the florist ended up placing his dad’s name on the card. The father of Paul’s crush was incensed, believing that the worst kind of attention had just been thrown his underage daughter’s way. Talk about a budding romantic move falling short of its goal!

6. He is charitable and is supportive of social causes

Paul takes advantage of his celebrity to support his causes. One of those is The Humane Society. Paul was awarded several times for animal protection on farms. Paul realizes that he is extremely popular with youth and that he has great influence on them. This way he wants to show them the right direction. It’s always easier to follow the patterns and strategies if they are suggested by your role-model. Paul understands that younger generations are our future and they can really change our world and society for better. His heart is in the right place.

7. He’s a hot hunk on a motor bike

A TV Guide interview revealed Paul Wesley’s penchant for motorcycles. He said that he rides his motorcycle “in daily life.” I should confess that Paul looks really cool on his motorcycle. He lives in LA so you can often see him swishing through the streets. Remember, I’ve said he’s a daredevil? But concerning the road and traffic rules Paul ‘s reputation is utterly irreproachable. Despite his bad boy image and rebellious look, Paul is a law-abiding citizen. He always wears a helmet and never runs the red light. Well, good for you, Paul! We don’t want you to get injured!

8. He’s the goofy sort of person who takes things in stride and loves to kid around

On screen, he is the endlessly brooding Stefan Salvatore. The real-life Paul Wesley, however, clowns around and has been caught on camera acting silly as he jokes around. Remember that uproarious TNT España Promo dance party where he gamely showed off his dance moves with Ian Somerhalder? Paul has a perfect sense of humor and this is one more thing that makes him so popular with girls. Claire Holt, Paul’s colleague and good friend, finds him the funniest person she ever knew. “Paul can softly defuse the tension and make you laugh,” she says. I’ve never doubted the comic side of his character!

9. He is fluent in Polish

The multi-lingual heartthrob spent part of his childhood in Poland, so he’s got his Polish down to a tee. In 2012, he spoke Polish at a Rachael Ray show. As I’ve already told, Paul used to spend his summer holidays with his grandparents in Poland so he had all the chances to learn the mother language of his parents. Paul owes that he is extremely close with his grandparents and now, when he cannot spend much time with them, every his trip to Poland is very precious for him. Paul strives to speak Polish with his parents and grandparents. Paul is very proud of this skill. He plans to pass this skill to his children one day.

10. His first photo shoot director was his mom

Paul, like many other actors, began his acting career as a model. To usher his early forays into modeling, Paul’s mom hired a photographer, styled his son wearing a beret and clutching an accordion as a prop. Now, that’s definitely cute! Unfortunately, that trick didn’t bring him in the limelight, despite his being utterly photogenic. However, Paul’s regular masculine features make him look great on camera. Anyway, Paul is thankful to his mom for her unceasing support and help. When Paul decided to give up studying for the sake of actor career, his mother approved such a challenging decision.
Don’t let Paul Wesley’s steely good looks become the be-all and end-all. There’s a gracious, utterly wholesome personality behind your favorite half-angel character.

What I’ll Never Say to My Husband Again

For years, it felt weird reading articles like “Words you should never say to a man (a woman)”. Of course, there are things you hate to hear – regardless of being a man, a woman, or a child. There are many phrases we can ignore when they come from strangers, but it’s different when we hear those from people we love (Don’t they love and value us enough to be more kind to our feelings?) Anyway, in the storm of comments aroused by such articles, as men and women start blaming each other and sometimes the author, there is usually a soft voice that brings up what makes some sense: when there’s a problem, should we keep silent for the sake of not hurting someone’s feelings?
Apart from the emotional outbreaks, there is often some truth to these phrases we may dislike, some issues to be considered and dealt with, messages that you need to get across or respond to ASAP – or, at least, before it’s too late. Why people tend to make these messages so confusing, or even say something entirely different? They use phrases that take them miles away from where they wanted to get, or say nothing at all – and then complain about being misunderstood, left out, or given a cold shoulder.
After our divorce, my husband said: “You know, I wish that at some point you had banged your fist on the table and screamed, “When will you stop being such a …?” Since the two of us looked like Klitschko and Panettiere, I started laughing each time I tried to imagine that: my tiny hand tapping on the table in front of a big man to make him aware something was wrong. Still, the whole thing wasn’t that funny after all. I know I had to speak up, and even if it made my husband so angry as to bang his own heavy fist on the table, a few broken tables might have been the only things lost between us. The kind of emotional residue this has left was like a line from that Avicii song “Wake me up when it’s all over, when I’m wiser and I’m older.”
Years later, I’m married again, I’ve got two kids, I’m certainly older – and, hopefully, wiser, at least enough to know: when there’s something that makes you uncomfortable, you need to talk about it instead of bottling up your emotions. It’s not like “What you should never say” articles don’t make any sense, it’s just what you say doesn’t make such a big difference as how you say it. So I actually have my own “never say this to my husband again” list:
What I’ll Never Say to My Husband Again

Always/Never

I’ve been always wondering whether people really mean it when they say “You never listen to me” – someone is probably listening to them at the moment, but will that person get an impression of what they’re hearing being important and therefore worth listening to with more attention? No, the result will be just the opposite. Even if you say “You never listen to me attentively enough,” and believe it to be true, this phrase won’t get you anywhere in case you’d like the situation to change.
The same goes for the “always” statements. Imagine that you are late to work again this week or month, but someone says you are always late. How are you feeling? The next time you catch yourself beginning an “always” or a “never” phrase, recall this feeling and stop. Even the chronic latecomers occasionally make it on time, or try their best to do it, and therefore will find an “always late” statement unfair, feeling defensive. When you push someone into a defensive mode, you can’t expect any empathy or cooperation. “Always” and “never” are sure-fire communication killers – if this term doesn’t sound awful enough, you can take my word for it.

What were you thinking?

Sometimes, it makes a big difference to know the good intentions behind something that hasn’t worked out – but if you’d really like to know, don’t ask in such an accusing, reproachful manner. Things don’t always go as planned, and there are moments when even the best and repeatedly tested methods don’t produce the usual results – which has nothing to do with our expectations. How would you like being blamed for the factors you weren’t able to control or change, when you could use some help instead?

I will do that only if you…

Any relationship is a two-way street, right? The terms such as “mutual trust” or “mutual understanding” also may sound like they mean “You do something for me, and I do something for you”. However, it’s very unhealthy to turn your communication into constant bargaining and charging each other for something. While it’s easy to slip into mutual demands and accusations, your relationship is safer if you opt for a different attitude than the “me-to-you” thing: “we do it together so that we…”

One-syllable answers

Last but not least, here come those “uh-huh,” ”duh,” and “meh” things that may have seemed so funny in cartoons. True, everybody is using them, so you think it’s no big deal. It’s probably not, if you don’t answer often in such one-syllable grunts, but if that’s your usual style of communication, then lack of attention will be an issue in your relationship, whether your spouse complains about it or not. This problem tops the list of complaints today, which is not surprising in our iPhone-equipped, Internet-obsessed world. We believe we just have so many things to do or check, and so little time to talk, to discuss something other than household or financial issues.
It is important to find that time, or at least to show your interest by taking a short break from TV and Internet browsing when your spouse asks something. The silence, ignorance, short utterances that are a sign of your attention belonging elsewhere… may be worse than any kind of statements, and can hurt deeper. With technology eating away our family time in large portions, you can often find advice about unplugging or disconnecting for some time – and it makes sense if a part of your day needs to be ring-fenced so strictly to be spent with your family or spouse.

Hardly ever would anyone deny that family is the most precious and important thing in our lives.
When it comes to marriage, a lot of details are taken into consideration. Some say that true love is above anything and will help to handle any family problem. The others believe that one should think hard and arrange family matters for the marriage to be a happy one.
We asked people about one of those “family conditions” wondering if it is acceptable for them to marry someone ten years older.

Women respond
One of the interviewed respondents said:
“It depends on the person involved… When you meet the kind of person you want, it becomes no barrier.”
Another woman agreed, adding that the age does not matter at all when a woman finds a “dream man”.
The lady in yellow said that an older man was even a preferable option for her, “because the guy will treat me like a baby, is going to be understanding”.
But not all the surveyed females shared this point of view. One of the participants said that ten years is too much for her.

Men respond
One of the interviewed men said that “if she is young at heart”, “if she is confident with herself”, it is ok. His position was backed by several other males who noted that the age is not the issue. Still, the other men could not imagine being in such a situation that they needed their partner to be younger.
One of them insisted that 10-year gap was fine for relationships, but not acceptable for marriage.

A lot of Naij.com readers took to Facebook to comment on the survey outcome and share their point of view on the issue:
Obiahu Jasper Chijioke: “Is only in marriage we say age is just a number, this is real for men. But for women it is not too real because their age count fastly in respect of menopause. You can’t marry a lady of 65yrs, but a man of 80yrs can marry a girl of 25yrs.”
Gbokoyi Olabisi: “Age is a number, maturity N understanding is d koko.”
Ezekiel Israel: “Thanks for the video though……..I will say to those ladies who said nope to their age mates and under…but prefer 10 nd above…bcoz of pampering ….that… there is an adage which states that A FOOL AT 40 IS A FOOL FOREVER….that is there are tendency that at 40 one can still b a fool…. so going into a marriage considering age is life entering into a bus without taking notice of who d driver is…..either a small boy or a matured man….. u know most times we see little kids and will say to his or her mother this child behaves more than his or her age…bcax of its high I.Q…so think b4 any1 get into d cell of marriage….”
Raymon Ola: “Normally men suppose to get older than his fiance, a man of 65 can marry a girl of 25yrs.”
Wisdom F Pual: “Age is not maturity anyway, am married to a woman younger than me and am enjoying the marriage, because I see her as my younger sister, so, I pet her, overlook her errors while on her part gives me due respect.”
Philus Akpos: “Age is truly just a number. When u fall in love u won’t mind age.”

But what does the statistic say about age disparity?
Based on the recent research by  the USA’s Emory University, a five-year age gap statistically means you’re 18 percent more likely to divorce (versus just 3 percent with a 1-year age difference), and that rate rises to 39 percent for a 10-year age difference and 95 percent for a 20-year age gap. Generally. Although there are various factors that can influence the situation.

Still, any couple, any marriage is unique. One relationships might seem perfect from the statistical point of view, but end in a year, the others would seem totally “wrong” but turn out to be unbreakable.
American writer Maggie Reyes once said:
“Marriages are like fingerprints; each one is different and each one is beautiful.”
So may your marriage be a beautiful fingerprint. And mind that LOVE, FRIENDSHIP and RESPECT make answer to many questions.
