Real Madrid suffered what could be a huge injury blow ahead of their Champions League quarterfinal, second leg against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday as Gareth Bale hobbled off with an injury just five minutes into their La Liga clash with Malaga on Saturday.
The Welshman went down holding his left calf after an innocuous looking challenge but immediately signalled to the bench that he needed to be replaced, with Manchester United loanee Javier Hernandez taking his over.
Real and Atletico are locked at 0-0 after the first leg last week in a repeat of last season's Champions League final.
