APC Governors have submitted names of their Nominees for Ministerial Appointment to the President Elect, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari
In a report published by Vanguard, the process, it was learnt, followed a directive by the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari to the governors on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) to forward the names of candidates.
It was also gathered that three names from each state are to be submitted.
However, General Buhari also stated two conditions which he advised the governors to adhere to in submission of the ministerial appointment.
One of the conditions was that the candidates must be technically competent and of proven integrity while the second reason is that the persons must also show loyalty to the party.
In follow up to the second term, it was learnt that Buhari indirectly laid emphasis on the need to field the names of the founding members of the party and not defectors from other political parties.
The President-Elect also told the governors that he however reserved the right to choose from among the three names that are likely to be submitted from each governor.
According to a source who spoke under anonymity to the media outfit, Gen. Buhari may also eliminate the Ministers of State position as he had said he would reduce the cost of governance.
While earlier reports indicated that Governors of the All Progressives Congress will be meeting with the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, in Abuja, it is also understood that the governors also felt that they should be allowed to present the next Senate president since they had not collectively received anything since the formation of the APC.
Meanwhile, the APC has also commented on the widely circulating list of the purported members for the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Veryy energetic post, I loved that bit. Will there be a part 2?
