First Female In Nigeria May Emerge From Taraba State

The suspense in Taraba state, following the inconclusive nature of the governorship election conducted on April 11, has continued to raise eyebrows.
However with INEC set to decide the fates of the two leading candidate vying for the governorship role on April 25, Mr. Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan of the All Progressives Congress (APC), all is now set for a winner to emerge.
While the electorates have continued to show interest in Taraba state elections with the possibility of Nigeria having its first elected female governor stirring upon our faces, the APC governorship aspirant of Taraba state, Senator Jummai Alhassan, is extremely grateful to the people on social media for supporting her campaign.
Alhassan is seeking to be the first female governor of Taraba state, however, she has to wait a little longer, as the election of Saturday, April 11, was declared inconclusive by INEC.
The senator for the Taraba North constituency of Taraba state took to her Twitter page (@JummaiAAlhassan) to express her emotions due to the love and support she has been getting from the online platforms.
Senator Jummai Alhassan who joined twitter on February 26, now has all to fight for with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fixing the run off of the Taraba governorship elections for April 25.
Analysts had predicted that the competition between Ishaku and Al-Hassan would be close, following the results of the presidential election in Taraba.
