How Love Potion Kills Housewife

A frustrated housewife identified as Egwoli (surname withheld) has died after she reportedly ate egusi (melon) soup laced with a poisonous charm she procured from a native doctor.
According to Leadership report, Egwoli, who resides in Atumaga Community in Delta state, had sought the help of a native doctor after complaining of her husband abandoning her.
She also complained of her husband not making love to her since they got married two years ago.
It was reliably gathered that the man had been sleeping with other women outside his home after he complained that his wife had body odour.
The native doctor was said to have prepared a love charm for the woman.
On getting home from the native doctor’s place, she immediately went into action and applied the charm but the man was nowhere to be found.
She was said to have mistakenly mixed the love charm in her own soup not knowing it was poisonous.
After eating, she went to bed and was found dead later.
Speaking on the matter, the husband, who did not want his name in the print, said: “My wife had threatened to make me impotent when I stopped making love to her for obvious reasons and I found some fetish items in her room, including the egusi soup she ate before her death.”
Confirming the incident, the police public relations officer in Delta state, DSP Celestina Kalu, said the police were currently investigating the circumstances that led to the woman’s death.
She added that reports indicated the woman was involved in fetish activities.
