The match has entered a bit of a cagey period, with Chelsea comfortable with slowing the pace and dictating the tempo in possession. Arsenal have to start going for it here, with much more to lose with a draw, which makes you wonder just how long Wenger will wait before he starts looking towards his bench for a much-needed change.
  • 62'
STAT ATTACK: It has been over a year – 21 matches to be exact (W15, D5, L1) – since Arsenal were held scoreless at the Emirates in a Premier League match (in a February 2014 draw against Manchester United).
  • 60'
The always reliable John Terry has had himself a positionally sound first hour in defence. His experience is proving invaluable to the Blues, while his composure has allowed him to marshall the back line with real authority up to this point.
  • 58'
Fabregas is finding himself very busy at both ends of the pitch, as he covers every blade of grass. It's been a bit sloppy from the Spaniard in possession, however, as a surprising lack of communication between him and Hazard continues to prevent Chelsea from carving out chances in attack.
  • 56'
Chelsea enjoy a good period of concentrated possession in attack, but after patiently awaiting an opening, they work it all the way back to their defence, which earns a loud chorus of boos from the home supporters. Ramsey works hard to pressure Willian and Chelsea wind up conceding possession before Sanchez wins a free kick in attack as Fabregas is penalized for a cheap foul.
  • 54'
Worrying moments here for Arsenal as Ospina is down after colliding with a teammate. Szczesny is up and stretching as the medical staff comes out to attend to the keeper, but the Colombian insists he is fine to continue on here.
  • 52'
STAT ATTACK: Chelsea have scored at least once in 19 consecutive Premier League matches, since a draw at Sunderland. The Black Cats are in fact the only team to hold the Blues scoreless this season across all competitions.
  • 50'
Dreadful! Sanchez plays a great ball to the left for Monreal, who is in acres of space. The left-back tries to play a first-time cross into the centre, which is exactly what Giroud was calling for, but he scuffs his delivery horribly as it sails behind harmlessly for a goal kick.
  • 48'
Chelsea have started the second half on the front foot, without really troubling the Arsenal back line, however. Drogba of course has assumed a spot up top, pushing Hazard into a more creative role behind the striker, while Ramires appears to have dropped a bit deeper here with Fabregas pushing up a bit.

Here we go again! Oscar is off for the start of this second half, still feeling the effects of his collision with Ospina. He's actually on his way to the hospital right now to get checked. On in his place is Didier Drogba, who has a remarkable resume against Arsenal in his career.
  • Arsenal could turn to Theo Walcott as a viable option to bring on at some point in this second half. Ramsey is capable of the spectacular, but he has yet to really stamp his authority on the match, while the arrival of Walcott would provide some much needed width, not to mention a great injection of pace alongside Bellerin on the right.
  • HALF TIME: ARSENAL 0-0 CHELSEA. Both teams have some positives to draw upon from these opening 45 minutes, but the real storyline is the decision by Michael Oliver to deny the Blues two legitimate penalty claims. The Gunners ended the half positively, but it was the visitors who asked a few more questions going forward.
