‘Wolves’ clash not do-or-die’

Dolphins attacking midfielder, Isiaka Olawale has described as not a do-or-die-affair the rescheduled league clash against South-South neighbours, Warri Wolves.
The Garden City side will host the Seasiders in Thursday’s rescheduled Glo Premier League match day 3 clash at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.
Olawale said his side are aware that Warri Wolves are coming to Port Harcourt to make a bold statement of their pedigree but they are determined to turn them back empty-handed.
“Of course, the encounter won’t degenerate into a do-or-die affair but will always remain a keenly contested and entertaining game.
“We’ve done our home work and anxiously waiting for match day to unleash our weight on visiting Warri Wolves.
“Wolves are coming to Port Harcourt with a reputation as the only Nigerian side still at the continent and they’ll want to rub it in on us but I tell you we’ll puncture their pride.
“Since I switched over to Dolphins I’m quite certain Warri Wolves have not earned any point on Port Harcourt soil and the tradition will continue on Thursday when both sides clash for the three points at stake.
“Ours is to do what we know how best to do it and get the three points at stake which is quite important to us at the moment.
“So be rest assured that we’ll extend same treatment we meted out to Lobi Stars on Sunday if not more to Warri Wolves.
“We need the three points to shore up our position on the league log and take it up from there to the spot we rightly deserved,” said the former Lobi Stars playmaker to supersport.com.
Dolphins have raked in seven points from possible 21 in the seven-week old Nigerian top flight.
