Nwaniba Road Uyo, Akwa Ibom State
PRESS RELEASE
The attention of the Labour Party in Akwa Ibom State has been
drawn to a certain on-line publication purported to have congratulated the PDP gubernatorial
candidate in the April 11, 2015 house of assembly and governorship election, advising
our leader and candidate, Sen. Helen Esuene to accept the outcome of the
election signed by one Mr. Ekong Charleson and other fraudsters with fake names
whose membership are not in anywhere in our data bank.
The leadership of our party whishes to inform the general public that:
- The state leadership of our party is not aware neither have they mandated any person or group of persons to issue such claim after the April 11, 2015 election in the state
- That the state EXCO of the Labour Party is led by Prof. Ekeng Anam-Ndu as chairman and does not have any pararrel EXCO
- That the Labour Party in the state believes that April 11,2015 election was a mere charade as it was characterized with massive snatching of election materials, thuggery, and non availability of most of the sensitive materials for the election
- It is in the light of this that the party has resolved to challenge the purported outcome of the April 11, 2015 election at the tribunal
Accordingly, we urge the general public to disregard such publication as signatories
to the publication are not known to us, the executive and the entire members of
the party in the state.
Prof. Ekong Anam Ndu Utip Etiebet
State Chairman State
Secretary
