The police on Friday arraigned a 24-year-old salesgirl, Victoria Abah, in a Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, for alleged criminal misappropriation of N262,000 realised from sales of sweets and biscuits.
Abah, a resident of Masaka, Nasarawa State, is standing trial on a two-count charge of breach of trust and criminal misappropriation.
The prosecutor, Shedrack Dauda told the court that one Olusolo Agbochi of Garki International Market, Abuja, reported the matter at the Garki Police Station on April 29.
Dauda said that the accused is the complainant’s salesgirl, while the money was realised from the sales of biscuits and sweets.
He said that the accused, who was supposed to remit the sales money to the complainant, however, criminally converted the money to her personal use.

According to him, the offences contravene Sections 312 and 309 of the Penal Code.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
The Judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko granted the accused bail in the sum of N300, 000 with a reliable in like sum and adjourned the case till June 8 for hearing
