APC Reacts To Stephen's Death

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Niger State chapter has reacted to the demise of a renowned Channels Television correspondent, Mr Gilbert Stephen.
The party in a statement issued on Thursday in Minna, by its Publicity Secretary, Jonathan Vatsa, described the demise of Mr. Gilbert Stephen as painful.
The Nigerian Pilot reports that the APC also condoled with the family, the television station and the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, over the tragedy.
According to the party, the news of Stephen’s death came as a shock, adding that it wondered why death will lay its cold hand him at the time his service is needed most due to the change that has visited the state.
“We receive the news of his death with shock and his death is a sad one because it was very untimely, he was a very hard working Journalist who has contributed a lot to the development of Niger state in particular and the society in general,” APC said.
APC said Stephen will be greatly missed for his gentility, objectivity and commitment to work, stating that his death has left a deep hole in its heart.
The party’s secretary disclosed that the APC prayed that the soul of Stephen rest in perfect peace and also for God to give his family members the strength to accept the irreplaceable lost.
APC, who said it was very imperative to show love to the deceased family, said death is always painful and bitter, but serves as a reminder that we are all passing by.
Stephen was said to have been battling with a sickness.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Niger State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Mallam Mohammad Mohammad in a stamen issued on Monday, described as saddening the death of the Channels Television correspondent in the state, Gilbert Stephen.
