The entertainment guru over the weekend lamented via his twitter handle that some politicians were enriching themselves while the people they claimed represent live in abject poverty.
He took a swipe of some state governors over their failure to pay workers’ salaries, saying such governors had no right to ride in huge convoys, private jets, nor to own guest houses.
Bruce also noted that he was not going to the senate to make money but to serve God by fighting for the good of Nigerians.

In reaction to his tweets, some Nigerians who felt the senator elect was complicit of the ills committed by politicians attacked him on twitter.They alleged that the money he claimed to have was made while he was director general of the Nigerian Television Authority.
While others claimed that his employees at Silverbird television are owed salaries.

Ben Murray Bruce won the senatorial seat for Bayelsa East Senatorial Zone under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after polling a total of eighty eight thousand, four hundred and fifty five votes to defeat his closest rival and former Governor Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) who scored sixteen thousand, nine hundred and twenty four votes.
