Round Up Of Major Leagues In Europe And Nigerian League

 Naij.com gives a round up of the biggest soccer stories from the top five leagues in Europe and the Nigerian Premier league. Bayern were humiliated again; losing their fourth match in a row while Burnley and QPR were relegated from the English Premier League.
In our article about matches to watch out for this past weekend, Naij.com highlighted the Chelsea vs. Liverpool match as one to watch. The match did not fail in its spectacle as Steven Gerrad made up for last season’s slip to score the equalizer after John terry had earlier put Chelsea in front.
Relegated:
QPR lost to Man City 6-0 with Sergio Aguero scoring a sublime hat-trick added to goals from Milner, Silva and Kolarov basically relegate the London club. QPR are bottom with 27 points.
Burnley have also been relegated despite defeating Hull City 1-0 thanks to a Danny Ings goal. Leicester City’s win over Southampton means Burnley will not survive in the premier league.

As many as four teams are battling relegation; Hull City (18th), Newcastle (17th), Sunderland (16th), Leicester City (15th) with just two points separating Hull and City.

SPAIN
The top two in spain have been decided with Madrid and Barcelona set to finish the league in the top two but the Champion has not been decided.
While Barcelona put aside David Moyes Real Sociedad 2-0 to remain top of the pile, Madrid could only draw with Valencia 2-2 which puts them four points behind Barcelona on 86 points.

Atletico Madrid controversially drew with Levante 2-2 which leaves them in third place thanks to results from other matches. Nigeria’s Kalu Uche scored in that match.
Barca need a draw from their next match against Atletico Madrid to be confirmed winners with two matches of the season left.

ITALY
In Italy the League champions has been decided (Juventus won the title last week) but the race for Champions league and Europa league places are up for grabs.
Juventus drew with Cagliari (Pogba scored on his return from injury), AC Milan defeated Roma 2-1 while Inter Milan defeated second place Lazio 2-o which puts third place Napoli in a favourable position.

German Champions Bayern Munich are quickly becoming the laughing stock of Germany and Europe at large. The heavy weight have now lost four matches on the bounce.

Dortmund (on penalties, cup semi-finals), Leverkusen (2-0), Barcelona (3-0) and Ausburg (1-0). Dortmund meanwhile continued her chase for European places by defeating Hertha Berlin 2-0.

Sunshine stars now sit atop the Nigeria Premier League after defeating Sunshine Stars as Week 8 matches recorded five away draws.
Kano Pillars 2 – 0 Sharks: Sai Masu Gida returned to winning ways after getting three consecutive losses.
Enyimba 0 – 0 Giwa FC:  Enyimba couldn’t beat Giwa again this season and the away team have gone unbeaten in Aba on both occasions they have visited the Enyimba International Stadium. It ended goalless on Sunday.
